Use cases
Atlas spans the KYB/AML lifecycle — from first onboarding to ongoing monitoring and deep investigation. Each use case maps onto the same engine: resolve → score → investigate → report.
1. KYB onboarding
Job: decide whether to take on a new business customer, and at what risk rating.
Atlas pulls registry data (legal entity, registration number, status), resolves the ownership and management structure, screens individuals against sanctions/PEP/watchlists, scans adverse media, and returns a structured onboarding report with a risk level. The analyst reviews exceptions rather than assembling the file.
Atlas capabilities: investigation workflow, entity resolution, risk scoring.
2. Periodic / trigger-based review
Job: re-verify an existing customer on a schedule or when something changes.
Because investigations are repeatable, a periodic review re-runs the same workflow and produces a comparable result. Freshness checks avoid re-fetching unchanged data, and the mutation history shows exactly what changed since last time.
3. Ongoing monitoring
Job: catch material changes — a new sanctioned director, a status change, adverse media.
New provider data flows through reconciliation and raises conflicts or risk indicators when something material shifts. Protected screening fields are honoured so a registry refresh never quietly clears a sanctions flag.
4. Enhanced due diligence (EDD)
Job: investigate a high-risk subject in depth — complex ownership, opaque structures, cross-border links.
The graph makes the hard questions answerable: walk ownership chains to the UBO, find companies sharing an address, surface common connections between entities. The full agentic OSINT sweep gathers the open-source signal an analyst would otherwise chase manually.
5. Portfolio remediation / back-book review
Job: re-assess an entire book of customers against a new policy or a new risk matrix.
A batch evaluation re-scores the whole portfolio, and the migration view shows which entities changed tier — so remediation effort targets the entities that actually moved.
